ruger semi auto

I have a 22-45 Ruger, it will only fire with about 8 rounds in the magagazine, I have already removed that sheet metal piece from the side and in stalled a Vorhatson(can't spell) extractor, any ideas what could cause this problem, thanks

Do you mean the pistol will only feed ammo from the magazine when loaded with 8 rounds or less?
What type of ammo are you using?

What our esteemed members above are asking for is more details. Was the gun new when you got it? If so,,, did you clean it? If not,, did you fire it any before any problems? Have you tried different ammo? Have you tried a different magazine?

Exactly.
If this 22/45 is brand new, it may require some "break-in" time to smooth itself out before working properly w/o hiccups. Consider it a "fact of life" with moderately priced, mass produced rimfires.
