I picked up a low mileage Mark 1 Ruger automatic 22 and I'm having having some feeding issues.

Getting stovepipe jams with 3 different magazines and 2 high velocity ammo types.

Seller said he would take the gun back as he didn't know it had this issue, is there a simple fix?

I like this 5" bull barrel gun, it shoot with accuracy when it shoots....lol

Sounds like it needs a real good cleaning, something which is sometimes not so obvious for rimfires, compared to centerfires.

Woodsy, scrubbed it down b4 the 1st range session. Went throughly about it afterwards too.

Going to try some standard velocity ammo next. Not overly hopeful, this is going to fix it.

Thinking the magazines are sprung too stiff, or the extractor is getting weak.
