I've made up my mind to buy a new Single Six, probably within a week or so. Which barrel length would or did you buy & recommend ?? I'll definitely buy Stainless. Lets see some Pictures of your Single Sixes.

I voted for the 5 1/2" but plan on getting a 4 5/8" with adjutable sights also.

Most popular, or what do I have?

I'd guess the 5-1/2"-er is most popular, but I have one of each.

This is turning into a great picture thread, keep them coming! I like the shorter barrels better, but you can't go wrong with any of them. There are no lemons in the single six family. Ed

I am going to be selling a 4 5/8" stainless in the green box that has had about 50 rounds through it in the next week or so. If you decide to go that route, let me know. I have decided I like my blued one better due to the aluminum grip frame and lighter weight.

I love my stainless 4 5/8" SS (green box, identical to louiethelump's). I think it has a very satisfying heft to it, and I love the balance. I've put a bajillion rounds through it, enough to debunk the "Single Sixes aren't accurate" myth for myself. I must have gotten lucky, because I can regularly hit shotgun hulls at 25 yards with it.

The only things I've done to it are to polish off the barrel warning and to install a lower power trigger return spring. I keep kicking around getting new grips (even some stags) for it.

jpdesign, that's a nice gathering of Ruger parts . . . and some non-Ruger bits, as well.

;)

I voted 6 1/2", have 3 of them. Forgetting about the Hunter, I sure wish Ruger would have made a 7 1/2" SS like Colt did the .22 New Frontier. I recently received my 1st 9 1/2" SS, .32mag., and kinda like it

I could not get in on the poll. I have them in many barrel lengths, and I enjoy them all, and find reasons to like one over the other on different occasions.

Great pics!

I've always liked the 5 1/2.
