So I love my Mark II but want something I can put a suppressor on. I like heavy guns and like steel! So the 22/45 threaded barrel and AL after market uppers are out.

So I finally see this new Talo Exclusive Mark III with the Luger style steel grip, threaded barrels (4.5" and 5.5") with Target Sights. Almost exactly what I want! The Bird cage is coming off either way... and I might need more tradtional grips... otherwise perfect!

So I see they have 4 models, 4.5" and 5.5" threaded barrels, with or without sights. I want to suppress so the 4.5" keeps it somewhat normal length when the suppressor is added. I also want Sights!

So I see the 5.5" with sights. I see the 4.5" without sights. No 4.5" with sights... I am ready to order it so I start looking for a model number...

Not on Rugers website. Not on Talo's website... at all, any model! So I call Ruger. Tech department tells me they do not make that gun. Sales does not know about it either! No help! I email Talo (no phone to call) and get no reply!

So can anyone help??? What is going on? Have they just not produced this version yet? I just need a model number so my FFL can order me one!

Give Bob (Talo) a day or so to get back to you. He IS busy with stuff.

I do know these are out. If your dealer is worth his license, he should be doing some legwork for you to find one. Did you (or he) check with Lipsey's? I know they've gotten some in and had two models listed a while back.

I'm a huge fan of stainless MK III's, but THAT is a cool looking gun.

I have the Ruger #10155 it is a Talo Special edition MK III. From what I was told the manufactured 1500 of these in each barrel length (5 1/2" and 4 or 4 1/2") I think the shorter barrel came with fixed sights. I purchased mine from Gun Broker for $369.00 + shipping

Talo has had a while to respond... still nothing.

Yes 5.5 with and 4 without. I want 4 with sights!

Fixed sights is fine if I can't get adjustable but I don't want the rail. I want some type of sights on a 4" or 4.5" barrel. I just don't understand how it can be this hard? I appreciate all the help!

You'll have to buy a 4.5" Hunter model and have it threaded to get what you want. Easy enough to just move the front sight back and plenty of meat for a gunsmith to cut thread on.

I have a Pac Lite on a 22/45 frame for my suppressor and its a great combination.

That Talo version lists the frame material as "alloy." It sounds like that might not be as heavy as what you like anyway.

You know I did notice that! I can live with an AL frame if thats what it is coming with. Its just amazing to me how hard its been to buy this gun and find out any real info on it!

Oh well I might just wait it out a bit longer or make due with the 5.5" version... I am not really in a hurry for it but I would like to get it done...

Ok, so links for Lipsey's have been provided and regardless of any response from TALO, have you gone to talk with your dealer again, mention them contacting Lipsey's, had them pursue this any?

Basically from what I'm reading here,, (w/o looking at any links,) it appears that the 4.5" barreled gun is being made without sights. Basically the gun you want just w/o open sights. Any good gunsmith can drill & tap the top of a barrel for a front sight.
Problem solved.

I picked this up a week or so ago and ordered the rail and Red Dot. Installed them yesterday and am waiting for the Cocobolo grips to arrive. Weather has been to crummy to get to the range.

Yes, thanks for the links. However the model number for the gun I am searching for is not at that site. However I may contact them and see if they can get the gun. I just have not gotten around to that. My dealer was always able to get the 5.5 with and the 4" without.

You may be a better shot than I am but I need that rear sight. Drilling and tapping that front sight would be easy. However the dovetail on the rear... by time I am done that... we are only talking a $400 gun.
