i started my collection ( and shooting)with a handful of single shot .22's. Marlins, Jc Higgins, and a Sears brand and a few others that you cant read what they are because of age and rust/wear.
any way... a friend of mine gave me a 1980's 10/22. i shot it for a few months. hunted squirrel, pigeons, etc. wasnt getting results i was happy with.
so i scoped it and set it for 50 yds, then 75, and 100. i ended up with shot groups that could cover a 6inch circle at 100yds. so i ended up going back to my single shot marlin which could cover a dime at 100yds.
am i the only person who hasnt caught the 10/22 bug?
does anyone else prefer an excellent single shot over a semi or am i just weird? the quality of the rifle was excellent i just wasnt blown away with the accuracy.
just my 2 cents
