Just got this one this past weekend. A 1968 Blackhawk that has not been
converted. Actually, it doesn't appear to have been shot very much at all.
Traded a GP-100 for it. I think that I did alright. 8)

I need to find some better grips for it. Any suggestions? :?:

+I can make grips out of just about any wood you would like. Check out my posts in the classifieds to see some of my grips. I just found some Buckeye burl would that would look great on that gun. Dfinately a good trade though. Steve

I wouldn't have traded,,, I'd just have bought it....!!!!! However, I have this thing about not trading or selling any of my Rugers,,,! I hate seller remorse.
Nice Blackhawk!

I wish that I didn't have to trade, but I did.
I've had a few Blackhawks and a few GP's.
Every time I get rid of one (or the other)
I regret it, but life goes on.

You made a good trade, because the GPs are everywhere. When you are in position to do so, you can always replace the one you let go. The Old Model Blackhawks, on the other hand--they're not making any more of those. You need to hold on to it.

Just picked one up almost exactly like that (1969 Bday) a couple of months ago. You will love it. A smooth shooter and comfortable carry.

Very nice. Looks like the screws are completely unmolested, also. I think the economy is bringing them out of hiding. This is the time to start saving your money, for when they do show up.

I just wish that some .357 lever action rifles
would come out of hiding as well.
