Super Vaquero?

In a shop today I saw a stainless Vaquero- serial number puts it at 1999 manufacture- with a square trigger guard like a Super Blackhawk (also in stainless). I didn't think the factory ever made them like this, so a previous owner must have put a Super gripframe on a Vaquero, no?

Yup. FrankenRuger. Classic :).

Mind you, Ruger SAs are so easy to work on, a FrankenRuger can be a very good deal if it's a strange brew you like.

yes, siree bobby doodle, I have 4 of the afor mentioned "super vaqueros". two blue and two brite stainless, in 44 mag.
