Quick answers.

ONLY the New Models were produced in stainless.

Only some of them had the infernal lock. If I recall correctly,, none of the stainless ones had the lock.

And none of the revolvers currently made by Ruger have that lock anymore do they? I have a New Vaquero from 2006 or 2007 that has the lock, but I've not seen any since.

The world can be quirky.
Do you suppose in 30 years collectors will be searching for the lock assemblies to restore "converted" guns ?
I won't be here so I don't care.

The lock was introduced in 2005 on the blued NM Flattops, New Vaqueros, Single Sixes, and Blackhawks. All locks were eliminated in 2012.

Collectors just may be looking for locks to make collectible models from this period original, but there will be plenty around that still have the lock installed and not bypassed.

Yes, they most certainly did make .45 colt Blackhawks in stainless.

As I noted,, the NEW MODEL Blackhawks were made in stainless. But I do not think they ever had them with the locks.
Does that one have the infernal,, eerrrr,,, internal lock?
