Lipsey's exclusive New Model Blackhawk Bisley .44 Spl 5 1/2"

i have this model, bought new by me in 2009 and unfired by me. I'm wondering what a reasonable value for insurance purposes would be in today's market? Has anyone seen one recently sold?

One recently sold on GB for $1200 but was the 4 5/8" barrel and had an extra set of grips.

I've been keeping tabs on the values since I have a fairly recent one 5.5" SS 44Spl Bisley that I'm considering selling myself.

If you find someone willing to pay $1200, don't let them get away.

I bought a blued 4 5/8 model for $500 plus shipping last October from the classifieds on here. The gun has a set of Chigs grips and a Belt Mtn basepin.

I sold one to a local dealer several years ago for $400. He had it for over a year and I could have bought it back for the same price. I passed on it and he sold it last year for about $475 I think.

Some folks "collect" guns thinking one day they'll be worth more than they paid for them. I'm not a collector, but it seems after several decades, their day has finally come. The housing market can swing, other collectibles can be up or down, and now gun prices are up.
