Did any of the 38/40-10mm Blackhawks for Buckeye sports come with brass frames?

Wondering because I just picked up one that has one. Probably an aftermarket one, but I don't know that much about the brass frames.

Just FYI, the factory Ruger brass grip frames were marked MR-3DB. They were available from the factory for retrofit, usually supplied with a wide Super Blackhawk type trigger.

As they were of the Old Model internal configuration, I'm not sure how much hassle would be involved in fitting one to the New Model Buckeyes. :)

As far as I know, all the factory brass grip frames were only for the old model 3 screw Rugers. That doesn't mean they couldn't be modified to fit the new models like the 38-40/10mm. But the factory wouldn't do that.

Several after market brass grip frames were made to fit both the old and new models.
