Has anyone else been following the increase in current prices of the Six Series double action revolvers on some of the auction sites? Some models are getting close to S&W numbers.

Here is one I was following the other day on GB:

Is it a rare model? Other than being pre-warning?

It's a nice example of a 4" stainless Speed Six, not rare but not common either.
But, no, it's not worth 9 bills to me. YMMV.

It is in pristine condition but it did not show that it came with the box or any paperwork and that to me does not make it worth the final sale price.

It is not a rare piece but they are fairly hard to find as compared to a stainless 4" Police Service Six or Security Six.

That said, ANY firearm is worth what someone will pay for it. It may not be worth that money for you or I but someone out there thought it was worth it.

Not at that price for me. We were issued the same gun on the Lockheed guard department many years ago. I did pass up a 3" a couple years ago for half that price. Wish I had bought that one.

May 6 a very nice 2.75 inch stainless with no box brought $586.00

A 4 inch blued in good shape and no box brought $490.00

So, prices are getting right up there. About time!
