Both are accurate but the 44 throwing 300 grainers does a job on old hands.

I had to learn the hard way. The 300s were already loaded so I tried them out. From now on it 240 grainers and no more full charges.

I really like that 357!

I use a 290 Grain LFN style from Accurate Molds for my 44 heavy bullet. I do put a lot of H110 behind that bullet when they will be shot out of my FA83, but will use HS6 when I shoot them out of my SBH. Not bad at all at approximately 1000 fps.

The Govt trapper in my area carries a SS 357 Bisley. First one I'd seen.

Try the 180 gr. Hornady XTP bullet loaded over 24.5 of Alliant 2400.
Result is an explosive target blaster at 1520 FPS out my SBH with 7.5 inch barrel and not hard on the hand!

Now for max effect I was shooting these out of my 16.5 inch barreled Henry carbine with bullet moving 1980 FPS.

Hondo, The trigger IS all the way forward (at least for this particular gun). Shoots great but the trigger has a LOT of creep. They will be going to my smith soon.
