SPNY production numbers

Anyone have an idea of how many SPNYs were made?
I have one and had asked the former Ruger LE rep and I remember him saying there weren't many made. I asked Ruger customer service and they suggested asking y'all.

According to Reference of Ruger Firearms, probably not more than 3000 were made.

Ruger customer service does not have production numbers, I know, I have been after them for several years to try to find out production numbers for some rarer GP100's and Six Series guns with no luck.
