On the forum I see 9mm cylinders for sale to be used with NMBHs. How & where do you measure to insure a proper and safe fit?
Thanks.

There are two things you need to know:

Is it for a NM BH mid frame (Flat Top) or NMBH large frame: compare diameter and total overall length of cyl to the one in your gun.

The total overall length of the 9mm cyl must match or exceed yours a little bit. A little too long can be dressed down to fit your frame. But shorter by more than .002" is expensive to fix, unless you can weld.

Someone might correct me here, but once it's established if it's mid-frame or large frame, get the OAL of everything on both ends. Then the bottom of the cylinder to the top of the cylinder nearest the throat. That's the only adjustable part as far as I can tell. That can be taken down some, but it's hard to stretch it.
