I took the plunge and put the sp101 green hi viz front sights on my service six and security six.
Very easy install via you tube.

They dont look bad and are dead on for the 38 + p . 357 a tad high at 12 yards.

I havent had the chance to take them out to 25 yards yet but I will soon.

Sure is easier on these old eyes.

I was a bit disappointed on the ones for my lcr 9mm. Have told hold front sight high to get good hits. Still for what it is supposed to be used for very practical.

The security six still has scotch tape residue.
I taped them in shot them to see if I would like it then installed.

Well at 25 they were a no go. Bummed.
Sighting in at 25 they were high . I put OEM sights back on.

25 yards rested the 6 inch was almost ragged hole with 38 +p and 9mm.

I found out the four inch service six shoots a bit high and left.

I was thinking about getting it reblued at ruger. I wander if they will fix the sight alignment even though they said they are not servicing them any more. it would be nice to have them correct.

Oh yeah I purchased an extra cylinder that works in both 6 inch and 4inch. Timed perfectly. I had TK customs do a 9mm coversion on that one.

Oh well learning experience
