Not a Ruger but have a question.

I inherited a Colt NEW JERSEY TERCENTENARY revolver. It has everything to include paperwork, wooden case but only the mag cylinder. I am told there was only one cylinder issued. There is no place for an additional cylinder. Does anyone have the facts on this!
