Saw a Security Six .38 on Joe Salter's weekly for-sale listing and wondered if anyone is interested in a look at it. It's item #36490. a four inch blue .38 serial number 150-61392 in what looks like excellent used shape from his excellent pix on the site.
Wants $450 for this one--I don't know if he'll dicker. This gun has a discrete import mark and may well have been imported from an LEA surplus sale in Canada; many of his guns seem to originate in Canada.
In California, should you find a Six, that would be an OK price for a great example of the variation that seems to have gotten most of the LEA and other government issue contracts--a significant cop, security and aircrew arm in its time. I'd feel confident standing BEHIND one now, too. I won't bore you again with why I'M not buying it....
I have no relationship with this dealer but do monitor his site for gun porn and to check on his asking prices, etc.
