While some look at the LCR's as ugly, and maybe they are, they are getting better looking to a lot of people. Times change and so do people. 20 years ago few people carried a gun, concealed or otherwise. Today a lot more people do. I believe the biggest reason is that, Ruger has gone out of the way to make a lighter gun. People have jumped on the band wagon.
1. What is your favorite LCR?

2. What calibers appeal to you?

3. Out of the 3 primary models, which are you actually using?

Mine is the .38 Special version, I probably carry it more than any other handgun I own. Carry it on the belt with a Bianchi Venom holster, and pocket carry with an Uncle Mikes Pocket Holster.

Ruger got it right with the LCR, affordable, light weight, accurate, with enough power for self defense.

Pic of mine with the steel rabbit, five rounds at 10 yards:

Mine is in 327 and my wife has a 22 mag. we enjoy both. My sp101 and the lcr can use the same holster but the light weight of the lcr gets more use.

Only have one and it's the .357. I carry it in rotation with my .44 Special Bull Dog when carrying revolvers
around town. I use +P .38 Special loads or light Magnum with 125 gr XTP, Gold Dot or the 158 gr. SWC-HP
FBI load.

My current favorite is the 38+P LCR. I also like the LCRX 38 in both barrel lengths.
I like the 38, 22, and 327 versions. The 3" 22 is a fun revolver. I am evaluating a 327 LCR for carry with 32 H&R magnum ammo.

38+p for the wife and myself, always pocket carry and we shoot nothing but 158 grainers for practice and we use the old FBI load for carry. When we practice I like using 12 inch plates at 12 yards and we double tap often.

1. The original 38 LCR

2. Mostly just the 38 SPL models. Maybe the 3" 357 LCRx

3. My 38 LCR has been my primary carry since 2012

I like the 2" LCRX .38 when traveling with the wife, she carries the 2" LCR .38, so logistics and commonality are a big factor.

For the trail and casual target shooting, I like the 3" LCRX, I have them in .22LR, .22WMR, and .38. Each is good for different reasons.

Not needing to make the LCR more than what it is, the extra small, extra light LCR or LCRx with the 2" barrel and in .38 is my favorite. Just a little gun that's easy to carry. 8)

I own both, but only shoot the LCRx. And even that was long ago.

My 3" LCRx 22 gets the most use. I take new people shooting and it is a favorite, especially with the women. Two people shot 500 rounds thru it yesterday. I carry the original 38 the most, but shoot the 3" LCRx 38 more. My 2" LCRx 38 is tucked away in a hidey hole in my house so doesn't get shot much. My wife has my LCR 22 tucked away in the bedroom as well.

I don't think you well find a better double action trigger on any other snubby 38 than the 38 LCR has. For me, it points like an extension of my finger. I even like the looks of them.

I have the .22wmr and .327. I really like both, but admit I would have just called it good with the .327 had it been released when I got the .22wmr. Both very pleasant to carry around, especially in the summer.

What's the recoil like on the 327?

I'm curious about the recoil on the 327 as well, and which model are you using, the hammerless?
