LCR357 Holster Question

Will an LCR357 fit ok in a Colt Detective Special holster?

I'm not sure how much this will help, but I have a hunter holster for my Detective Special and the LCR fits in it. I have a Blackhawk leather holster that fits my LCR and my DS will fit in it. My Blackhawk leather holster is size 00 and will also fit a J frame Smith. I hope this helps.

Dedicated holsters for a Detective Special will be loose on a LCR. Multi-fit holsters to fit the Detective Special will work.

My Bianchi 5B, sized for a Detective Special is large enough for a SP101 but is very loose with a J Frame or LCR. My Bianchi Acumold, and even an Uncle Mikes works well with any of the above revolvers.

Depending on the cut of the holster, I've found that the oddly shaped trigger guard on the LCR can cause problems. It's unusually large. Lots of holsters don't enclose the trigger guard though.

Thanks for the info. I had a nice older detective special holster spotted on an auction site that looked like it might accommodate an LCR and I got outbid. Oh well....
