I had the 4-inch model, just like you I had to have it. It would put 8 out of 10 shots nearly in one hole, with 2 shots always off. It was then that I noticed that they had drilled the hole for the cylinder pin off-center causing the cylinder to rotate "wobbly". The barrel was also installed off-center in the frame, but that was a cosmetic issue although it did bother me on a $600 revolver. Finally, it wouldn't always fire reliably in double-action, but would be fine in single-action. I sent it in for the cylinder to be fixed and sold it on after it came back as overall I was disappointed in the QA from Ruger on this example.

I have an early model and it had several quality issues when new, but after reworking it, it now looks good and is now very smooth.

Later I changed the grip and put on a Burris FF3.
