New Vaquero rear sight width

Question for those in the know, did/does Ruger offer these with different rear sight widths? I have two 510 series Vaqueros that have a narrower rear sight width than the newer 511 series model I have. I know that the SASS Vaqueros are advertised as having a wider rear sight.

Does anyone know when this change occurred on the non SASS marked vaqueros? I always thought that, other than the SASS Vaqueros, they all had the same width rear sight.

My 510 series from 2008 New Vaq rear sight width is .110"
My 510 series from 2010 44 Spl NV is .140".

So that will give you a 2 year window when the change came about, that's as close as I can get.

Thanks for that info. My 510's are 2005 and 2006. I guess what I was really wanting to know is whether the wider sight was a factory modification or not. Now I know. Much appreciated!
