I ordered a set of aged ivory grips for my stainless new vaquero and they arrived yesterday. I am more than pleased with how they look.

Yes, Altamont makes good grips , have a pair of their rosewood bisleys on my ss blackhawk, I'm very pleased as well.

Is Altamont now making solid wood grips? I inquired some time ago about making me some solid walnut, oil finished grips, and they declined, saying all their production was that of the laminated wood type and plastic impregnated.

If they do used real wood now might have to reconsider them.

Altamont makes some fine grips, that is what we got the Smith 38/44 HD here:
