That's not a Ruger!

I had this old Super out to the range recently when a passer-by asked me what kind of gun it was.



"Ruger Super Blackhawk," I told him.

"That's not a Ruger!" he exclaimed.

I sort of shrugged. "What makes you think it's a Ruger?" he demanded.

"Well, the markings of 'Ruger' 'Super Blackhawk' and 'Southport, Ct.' sort of gave me the idea."

"Ruger never made a gun like that!" he continued.

Maybe not, but between Ruger, me, and Doug Turnbull, it got made. Did I explain that to him?
