Old Model Frame Sizes, .30Carb, etc

On another forum the topic came up specifically regarding .30 Carbine.

I have always understood that in Old Models, only the .44 Mag Super had the larger frame size, and all others had the standard size . Another members posits that at least the .30Carbine was made on the large frame.

It's not convient for me to make comparison measurements of my Old and New .41Mags , and I want somthing more difinative than my recollections.

So, .44 only, or selected other 3 screw chamberings ?

The 44 Mag frame size, (the large size frame) is the standard size.

The new models confuse the issue because two calibers, the 357/38 and 45s are built on both large and medium frames.
