When is this special lipsey run being made? I read about it earlier this year and still havent seen anything. The 480 has been released, but any word on the 454? Thanks

Just checked Lipsey's website. The shorty has been removed from their catalog. Too bad, that model was pretty close to my idea of a dream configuration.

I got the shorty SBH in 480 Ruger. I sold my so-called 6.5" barreled model. Why they couldn't have released the shorty alongside the long barreled 480 SBH is a tough one for me.

A note: the 6.5" model is really about 6-3/8" and the 4-5/8" model is closer to 4-19/32". I haven't seen that on other Rugers I've owned.

I really like it, though. Fit and finish is acceptable, except for the grips. Really? How does an Italian mass producer of clones fit their grips so well and Ruger can't get it done???
