differences in security six grip frames?

I seem to remember reading here on the forum that there were several different styles of the security six grip frames. can anybody tell or show me what the differences are?

High Back on the left, Low Back on the right.

The original "Sixes" were all low-back. The later 150-series and early 151-series s/n guns started phasing in the high-back guns. There is a pretty big overlap of serial numbers where the low-backs ended and the high-backs began.

Yep, I have a 4-inch Speed Six s/n 150-998xx that's a high back.

And I have a low-back, s/n 151-150xx. There's two that I know of very substantially higher.
