I'm hoping and waiting for Ruger to come out with a 5-shot GP-100 in .41 Magnum.
Judging by some of the other guns they have made if enough people say they want one they just might make it. :D

Are we sure they can't squeeze SIX rounds of 41 into a GP cylinder?

I like 41 Mag too ...... generally don't buy new guns but I'd at least look at one of these.

I don't think the cylinder is big enough to take 6 rounds of mag but may take 6 rounds of .41 Special. Right now Gary Reeder is doing conversions of existing GPs to .41 mags:

Pretty hard to sell .41 magnums. I don't see them getting enough interest based on the slow sales of any .41 mags. It would be a nice gun though.

I will third TinkerDave's 10mm/40 S&W suggestion.
A 3" Adjustable Sight GP100 would do it for me. We need a replacement for the S&W 646 that has been discontinued for several years. I would like to see a 3", a 4.2", as well as 6" GP100's in 10mm/40 S&W offered. This would also scratch the itch for those wanting a S&W 610 who do not want to spend 4 figures for one when they can be found for sale.

Do you think this maybe due to the fact that they never come out in the right gun? They are based on a oversized 44 magnum frame, two barrel lengths only, single action only, and blued, no stainless. I kind of like my guns portioned to the caliber, stainless, 5 to 6 inch barrel, 5 1/2 is great, and double action. For the last how many years it has always been the same two guns are you only choice.

Seems like we might have two dark horses in the race for the next GP-100. The .41 Magnum and the 10mm/40 S&W.
May the best gun win. :D
