The man I'm preparing to shake hands with in my first cousin Marvin. He retired after working many years for GR Douglas, his son-in-law & his son afterward. Not much he hasn't done in that old barn. Asked at one time what they were working on he replied a very large run of 44 barrels for Ruger.

nice picture, we used Douglas 'air gauged' barrels ( blanks) in our target 22 s and PPC guns we built in our shops back in the 70's and 80's....story we heard way back was Ruger used Douglas barrels also in some of their guns but the "old man" thought they were too pricy, changed to another vendor and I questioned their accuracy, had an early No 1, it shot awesome and got a later No 1 in 25-06 and could not put a five shot string together ,EVER, in any and all configurations we set up the fore-end / barrel, or work up a decent load, gave it up, never bought another.....thanks for sharing the picture/story
