Lipsey's .357 Flatop. Is it the same size frame as the new model .357 or is it the same as the OM .357 or different than both? What would be a good price for a convertible in this model?

Size wise it is the same as the old model, weight is a whole other ballgame, they have a steel grip frame and steel ejector rod housing, original used aluminum alloy.

As to "What is a mid-size frame?"

The earliest Ruger parts list showed three different designations for Single Action frames:

R - designated the revolver frame for the Single Six.

MR - designated the frame of the .357 Magnum Blackhawk

MR-44 - designated the frame for the larger centerfire Blackhawks/Super
Blackhawk.

Same size as the OM 357 (both flat top and ribbed sight models) and the "New Vaquero" 357.

A good price is anything under retail, they haven't been made that long and are still a fairly hot item.
