Two Old Army revolvers, with boxes , possibly unfired.
One has a star then four digit sn the other has the prefix 145-0 then the same four digits as the other
So the first is 1975 the other is 1977
Do the matching sn add to the cost?

Hi as I recall you had to purchase the star gun (one of one hundred) to be able to buy the the second gun (one of two hundred) both thru the RCA if I remember right I have both with the double case I'm not sure of the value now

The blued Old Armies started their serial numbers at 140-00001 in 1972. The 145 prefix started in 1981. The stainless OA's started in 1975 with serial number 1.
The RCA 1 of 100 issued OA's were stainless, with a non-prefix serial number with or without the backwards cylinder rollmarking, (about 75% had the backwards cylinder inscription,) in the serial number range of 1500 to 1599. These are marked with the star prefix serial number and "RCA" put on most topstraps. (SN 1544 is known w/o the RCA.)
This info comes out of the RENE guide.

These are stainless
The shop has them sitting side by side but no mention of them being a pair

The 1 of 100 and the 1 of 200 were offered at different times, so weren't really offered as a pair, but those who purchased the first "1 of 100" example got the opportunity to purchase a matching numbered "1 of 200" example.
