I just picked up 2 new SP-101 (KSP-831X) 38 special only. According to the test date they we made in May and June 2015. Were these part of a LEO or export over run or something else. Just have to say I love them. May be we will see a run of 8mm SP-101s soon.

You don't suppose it was a typo and the OP meant 9mm do ya?

I like the 32 theory. I've got a 3" in .32 H&R Mag and a 4.2" in 327 Fed. Like them both. But the 8 key is right next to the 9 key. The only double action I have in 9mm is a Taurus 905. I'd much rather have a SP101 in 9mm.

Sorry 9mm. All jokes aside could this be the start of something new? Bringing back discontinued models for sale again.

Ruger never seems to discontinue anything. Out of production temporarily yes but they love to bring back things for short new runs we were not even aware of at times. I haven't even ruled out that we won't see the XGI .308 yet but I'm thinking its less likely with each passing year.
