I reassembled my SBH after having it in a bag in a drawer for a while and adding a few new parts. It seems like the hammer pivot pin is a little more proud on one side than it was before. Everything fits and functions as it should just that darn pin is bugging me. Did I mess something up in reassembly? Long screw is on the loading gate side of the frame as is the groove in the pin.

That is a common thing. Not a big deal at all. If you want to the long end can be turned down to match the other end. Not worth the trouble to me.

Thumbcocker,

Recognize you don't even need to remove the grip frame to turn the hammer pin around. Just install a pin in the hammer spring strut to eliminate the spring tension on the hammer. Remove the two screws behind the trigger guard, push the hammer pin out with a punch of similar diameter, leave the punch in the hole, flip the hammer pin over and push the punch out with it. Swap the two screws.
