Long time neighbor of mine is moving and he had a pair of nice S&W revolvers he wanted to sell, so I gave him 700 for both. A very nice and tight 629-2 .44 Mag with 3 inch barrel and a Model 66 .357 with 4 inch barrel. The .357 is missing the little red or black insert on the front sight.
Think I did OK on the deal.

The 629 is in excellent shape as he had only fired 6 rounds thru it since he has owned it for years. I had fired about a dozen rounds thru it several years ago.
The .357 has a few wear marks or slight dings around the bottom of trigger guard and I will polish those out a bit and replace the missing red insert on the front sight. However it has a great trigger action as well as the 629.

Replaced the insert with orange weed eater filament and it worked great!

I should mention that the 629 is the 2E with Endurance package.
Hopefully I can get out next weekend if the heat wave breaks and have some fun!

A good deal?
I hope you at least gave him a big sloppy long kiss for what you did to him for that deal!

I really enjoyed shooting that Model 66! https://youtu.be/axK1UbyzDbg

The 629 2E 44 Mag could really use a Hogue Tamer grip like what comes on my Ruger Alaskan as it smacks you in the hand a bit! Both came from S&W with Pachmayer grips
