It could have come in one of these OM boxes with the white label ......



OR it could have come in a box like this ....

Could have come in one of the first two boxes w/o white NEW MODEL label, but also with a small white label correcting barrel length.

But it could not have come in the orange hinged lid box. They didn't show up until about 8 years after '64; unless returned to the factory and reshipped and wouldn't have a label.

Hmmmm......I have four guns in these boxes that shipped in 74 -75. Maybe they're rare :shock: :shock: :shock: I agree that they only had two boxes, short and long, with different labels on the end.

Yes. Only the 9 1/2 in. Single-Sixes came in that box. Those are very hard guns to find with the boxes next to impossible to find. Most were tossed out with the trash. Nice set of rare Rugers.
