Does anyone know what the length difference of the grips screw is for each model? I'm going through some single action Ruger grips that I have. They all seem to have a length of around 0.975". Then, I found one pair of Super Blackhawk grips that have a grip screw length of 1.165".

I'm guessing the longer screw might not be a factory screw. Does anyone know if there are length differences between Blackhawks, Super Blacks, Bisley, etc?

Thanks

Never mind, I answered my own question. The longer screw belongs to a set of N frame grips I had sitting on the bench. Hahahahah.

Well, part of your question:

Ruger makes two main grip screw lengths with the usual minor manuf. variations.

One for the new model XR3 size grip frames which are only 7/16" thick with thinner grips, used on New Vaq and Flat Tops.
The other length is for all other grip frames used on Single Six series, Blackhawks, Super Blacks, Bisley, and Birdshead which are all 1/2" thick.
