Just picked up a 2 3/4" red hawk in 41 mag. It's bigger than I expected but should do nicely for a hiking gun in Colorado. It was like new in the box,and came with box and paperwork for $640. I can't tell if it's been shot,as it looks brand new. I have a fondness for the 41,so we should get along nicely. I reload all of my 41 mag ammo, so I should be able to find the right load combo for this barrel. Any suggestions? Anyone out there have experience with this model?

I don't have that particular model, but I have the 4.2 inch version. I bought it back jn January. I really like the 41 magnum caliber. I cast my own bullets and my gun likes the Magma 225 grain RNFP bullets the best.

Wow, they have only been out for a couple months and you already found a used one, and at a good price too.
The review of mine is here in this post http://www.rugerforum.com/phpBB3/viewtopic.php?f=3&t=238128
8.1 grains of Unique and 220 grain cast Lyman 410459 works well in mine.
