All,

I have a Security Six I am considering selling. It is easily 99%, with box (and the box is in good shape). It's an RDA-34, 4" barrel, with adjustable sights.

SN is 153-18XXX. I believe this to be ~ 1977 production.

What's the going rate for something like this these days? I have a couple of local guys who are interested in it, but if they waffle I will probably list it here on the classifieds. I'm more of a rifle guy and don't pay as much attention to the revolver prices.

Thanks,

SR

It's really hard to say as prices vary across the US for the same gun. Some regions they will bring a premium and other places they may be considered run of the mill revolvers. A good average would probably be $325-$425. The box isn't really a factor unless selling to a collector, normally the average buyer doesn't care about the box of a used firearm.

Around these parts $375 to $400.

Now, if you had the shipper too ...... may be a different story.

There's a blued one, don't know the year, on consignment at a store near me. Seller is asking $699. It's been there a few weeks now with no takers, so that guy's price is probably way high.
