Simmons Gold Medal 2.5-7x28mm... anyone use one?

I've done some searching online about this scope, and it would appear that this scope (long discontinued) was a quality product. I know it was made in Japan, and several folks have commented that it performed well on a 44mag. I plan to put it on a Ruger SBH Hunter. Anybody here got this scope? If so, whats been your experiences, good or bad, with it?

Good scope. I have had one for years on a Super 14 Contender in 375 JD Jones. 375 generates lots of recoil.

I have one that has been on many guns...bought it in late 80's or early 90's...it has been stellar.

I wish I had bought a sack full of them, when I bought this one.

There were Japan made ones, followed by China.

Are you looking for one? I MIGHT have one to sell, I know I have a few of the newer ones.

Thanks, but no. I've already found one that is oing to work nicely for my needs. Just mainly curious what others have experienced with them.
