We recently acquired an engraved Ruger Old Army revolver. I believe it was manufactured in 1982 -83.
Were any of these factory engraved? Any idea of it's value?
I will attempt to post some photos.
thanks,
Scott

RCG,

Welcome to the RF.

Yes there is at least one official Ruger engraved Old Army. There are many engraved Old Armies. Some good pictures are needed. I responded to you to keep your post near the top. I would enjoy seeing this kind of Ruger.

This is definitely not a factory engraved gun. Looks like a student was willing to practice on someones gun for little or no money. He has his scroll work down fairly well and the part on the top strap is exceptionally well done. The scenes on the cylinder show need for some big time improvement. I'm not knocking the gun at all, I would take one like it in a heartbeat over a plain one. Thanks for sharing it with us.

Thanks everyone for your input. It is currently selling on one of the auction sites. I started it at $1 and no reserve. We will see what the true market is.
Thanks again!
