recieved the newly made NON-Ruger base pin from gungarage .com from e-bay,it looks like the ruger original ,installed the base pin ,worked action ,everything worked smoothly ,the base pin locking screw worked as it should ,and the loading ram rod worked as it should ,smoothly and no hangups ,this being said i never actualy loaded powder and ball with it ,that will have to waite till snow melts and it warms up ,but it does look like a viable alternitive ,if somebody needs a base pin
