Got the Birds out today!

Finally got a break in the weather and got to get my .45 ACP and .45 Colt Birds out to test my
230 gr. hammerhead style loads.
I was getting low 900's out of both through the 3.5 inch barrels...just what I wanted.
The .45 ACP loaded with 6.5 gr. and the .45 Colt with 8.5 gr. of Unique.
Great little shooters the birdheads are! These could make a good self defense load !

I'm curious about your ACP loads. Is that cylindrical portion of the bullet just ahead of the case mouth full diameter, i.e., .451+ ?

If so, did you need to alter the chambers to accept that load?

That area is turned down to allow easy chamber entry.
