GP100 Match Champion

Why is it that most of the grips for the GP( other than the original Lett ones) don't follow the shape of the grip frame? They always extend further back off the frame. The wood Houge grips are nice, but they come too far back

The rubber Hogue grips that are standard on new GP's are an abomination, especially on the 3". I want a new GP but gotta factor in the price of new grips to the purchase, and then they're no cheaper than a 686.

I love the Altamont checkered rosewood grips on my 3" fixed sight GP. They are just full enough to grab with all my fingers, including the "pinkie." Not compact, but then I don't consider ANY GP a concealed-carry revolver. A very firm grip, even one-handed. And handsome.

I agree that the rubber Hogue grips that are standard on new GP's are an abomination. I have small hands and they don't fit me. Replacing them with the original grips not only solved the problem but also made the gun so much more attractive in my opinion.
