Just wondering how hot this setup can be loaded.
Are you still limited to cowboy loads, or can it be loaded up enough for hunting ?
Not wanting to Hot Rod, just hunt say dear or pig.

The one I have (can't remember the maker) says cowboy only or black powder loads. I shot some regular .45 in it, but never felt comfortable doing it and didn't make a habit of it.

Are y'all saying you wouldn't hunt with your ROA? At all?
What are the numbers for the ROA just using round ball and black powder? Generally, I mean; I know there are a lot of variables.

I never hunted with it, but I'm sure a .45 round ball backed by black powder could be used within limits. The original question about conversion cylinders was asking about regular .45 ammo. I wouldn't want to use the same ammo that could be used in a Blackhawk.

The ROA will do fine as is. If you decide to go with the conversion cylinder, it should work just as good with less cleaning. (although cleaning is half the fun.)
