Anybody make a 38 Special Single Six?

Has anybody made a 5 shot 38 Special out of the Single Six center fire frame?
A larger cylinder should be able to accommodate 5 shot .38 caliber.

Seems like Aggie01 might have had one at one time.

Alan Harton does them. 5 shot 38spcl conversions on single six 32 H&R's.

I believe David Clements has done one that Axehandle used to own.

Wow! That's an interesting one. Single-six in .380 ACP! Do you plan to load to higher than standard pressures, since the typical .380 is for a blowback action, which (allegedly) can't handle anything above "moderate" pressures?

I'LL USE factory level loads as it'll take 100grLFN bullets well above 1100 with standard loads in the longer BBL. WHEN I was asked just whyinthe'll are you doing that, I told 'em because me and the world were in dire need of a 35 caliber 32S&WLONG. AND me being a died-in-the-wool Swiss Kraut/kraut the gun will be marked 9MM KURZ not---NOT!!!---380ACP.

I'm a bit new to cowboy guns but why not just get a Blackhawk?

Because it's a lot bigger and heavier and most importantly "just because".

I definitely get the "just because" deal. I have a few of those "projects" under my belt. They were Ruger P-guns though.

I asked Alan Harton a while back about a conversion and he said he was not taking on any new work and he was having a hard time getting the rear adj sight (S&W j frame). I would really like to see a 380 SS.....or 9mm kurz.

Check out the Cimarron Model P Jr. It is approx. 75-80% the size of the Vaquero & is an "old style" single action six shooter.
