Lipsey's Mistake Bisley

What's the going price/value on one of these? I was offered one in a trade (yes, it's the 7-1/2")and don't know enough about them to respond intelligibly. Thanks

Search "Shootist's Mistake" for info. A special order for The Shootists organization. A run of 100 units ordered with long barrel and special serial numbers . 94 pieces had been prepared when the mistake was found, wrong serial numbers. New, correctly serial numbered guns made up and delivered, incorrectly numbered units sold through Lipseys. Called Shootists Mistake gun but mistake was apparently Ruger's. A couple of years later, an addition 30 units showed up so there are 124 (I think) of them out there.

I've seen them go as low as $750 and as high as $1250. On the flip side, the only real Shootist's Bisley I've seen sell went for less than the low number. I called to buy it, but one of our fellow forum members was quicker to the phone that day!
