I have wanted one of these for a long time but have never seen one in person before. Finally after years of wanting one I put an ad online and was able to pick this one up yesterday and had to share. I got it to the range last night and it shoots like a laser. The trigger is okay, better than the newer models I have fired, but I think a few Wolff springs can help it there.

It goes nicely with my other 6 shot SP101, a .327 Fed Mag.

Yep, I've got one of those too. Second year production I believe. Mine too shoots very accurately and has a good trigger.

Sweet, I have the 8 shot but like the looks of the full shroud best.
I also seem to be more accurate with a weight forward gun.

I picked up one of the 6-shots last week, c. '94 production. It doesn't have the box and has the monogrip. It shoots great! The Hogue monogrip is comfortable, but not very appealing to my eye. I hope to replace it soon with some nice ones like hittman has on his.

Congrats on your find!

I prefer the front sight on my 6 shot, but would love to have the more adjustable sight on the new SP101. I've been debating selling mine and buying the new model.
