NM BH frame size question Ruger only loads

Ok guys I have a quick question

I have a new model blackhawk convertible in 45/45colt (bought new this year). What size frame is this and is it safe for the Ruger only loads. I keep getting conflicting information from people who I think may be confusing it with the new flattop (which I think is a smaller frame).

If it is a New Model Blackhawk (2 digit prefix on the serial #...like 46-xxxxx)...it is good to go with the Ruger only loads.

If it is the Flattop convertible (3 digit prefix), it is not.

Thanks for the quick reply, I just checked and my convertible has a 2 digit prefix.

Anyone have a recommendation for heavy hard cast factory ammo? right now I am looking at HSM 325grain Bear load, Buffalo Bore 325grain flat nose and Corbon 335 grain hard cast.

Underwood makes great ammo. They have a nice +p .45lc at a decent price.

Thanks planetcat I just took a look at some of the 45 colt+p loads they offer and they seem to be pretty up there in fps and energy and definitely cheaper then some of the brands I have been looking at. I will have to see if my local shop can order some in for me now.
