There's enough room in the cylinder.

I vote hell yes. For me, it would be the ultimate home defense pistol and one I'd often carry as well. I'd like a four inch barrel, but I could see everything between 6" and snub being popular. I don't want a S&W, and I think it's odd that Ruger just hands this market to them. As far as the old "we make six shooters" argument - they already make 5, 9, and 10 shot revolvers in various models.

No I wouldn't, not that I wouldn't like to have one but the price of Red Hawks has just gotten to high for me, their priced out of my market.

No. I would like a 8 shot 357, but wouldn't do it in the SRH. Maybe if that ugly frame extension was gone, then I would.

No. They are way too ugly. And too heavy for a .357 no matter how many holes in the cylinder.

Maybe. It would need to look better and lose a lot of weight. If it would look like the new Match Champion GP100 and have an ADJUSTABLE SIGHT I would seriously think about it. However, I think Ruger would be better off coming out first with a 7 shot GP100 that was also on a diet and had a 1/2 lug barrel.

I got tired of waiting for one, so I bought a S&W 627.

I'd pass as well. No affection for the RH to begin with and adding a couple more chambers does nothing for me. If 6 won't do, another 2... I'll use a semi-auto if need be then. Have never felt I was lacking having 5 shots.

Nope. For all the reasons above, I'd never own one. And an 8-shooter is not poetic.

WAYNO.

I guess I wouldn't consider any double action poetic. I would however like an 8 shot 357. But a redhawk, not a super with the barrel extension like others have said is hideous.

Post subject:  I (of course) have an opinion

I find my 357 Redhawk elevated beyond the "357 Magnum" cartridge due to its ahem 'robust' cylinder and construction.

It has been rumored 8) that one can REALLY push .357--.358" bullets well past common Magnum performance from the Redhawk. Really

I'd love an 8 shot .357 SRH *IF and ONLY IF* Ruger extends the frame shroud the length of the barrel which should be 4" IMO.

Otherwise I'd love an 8 shot .357 Redhawk in various barrel lengths.

No, too much beef for the cartridge. The N-frame is plenty, no need for a giant Ruger DA in .357.

Redhawk, maybe - but definitely NOT if it was a Super Redhawk - way too big for what I like with 38 caliber hole in the barrel.

Redhawk and Super Redhawk are the same size and weight. The Super just 'looks' bigger.
