Would you buy an 8 shot 357 magnum Super Redhawk?

There's enough room in the cylinder.

I vote hell yes. For me, it would be the ultimate home defense pistol and one I'd often carry as well. I'd like a four inch barrel, but I could see everything between 6" and snub being popular. I don't want a S&W, and I think it's odd that Ruger just hands this market to them. As far as the old "we make six shooters" argument - they already make 5, 9, and 10 shot revolvers in various models.

No I wouldn't, not that I wouldn't like to have one but the price of Red Hawks has just gotten to high for me, their priced out of my market.

No. I would like a 8 shot 357, but wouldn't do it in the SRH. Maybe if that ugly frame extension was gone, then I would.

Maybe. It would need to look better and lose a lot of weight. If it would look like the new Match Champion GP100 and have an ADJUSTABLE SIGHT I would seriously think about it. However, I think Ruger would be better off coming out first with a 7 shot GP100 that was also on a diet and had a 1/2 lug barrel.

I got tired of waiting for one, so I bought a S&W 627.

I'd pass as well. No affection for the RH to begin with and adding a couple more chambers does nothing for me. If 6 won't do, another 2... I'll use a semi-auto if need be then. Have never felt I was lacking having 5 shots.

I guess I wouldn't consider any double action poetic. I would however like an 8 shot 357. But a redhawk, not a super with the barrel extension like others have said is hideous.

I find my 357 Redhawk elevated beyond the "357 Magnum" cartridge due to its ahem 'robust' cylinder and construction.

It has been rumored 8) that one can REALLY push .357--.358" bullets well past common Magnum performance from the Redhawk. Really

I'd love an 8 shot .357 SRH *IF and ONLY IF* Ruger extends the frame shroud the length of the barrel which should be 4" IMO.

Otherwise I'd love an 8 shot .357 Redhawk in various barrel lengths.

I just wish I could afford to buy one of the new Competition GP100's, and I would be happy.

Yeah me too that one is out of my price range also, might as well go for a 1911 if your spending that much. :?

No. Would not even buy a Redhawk/Super Redhawk in .357. Don't much care for my 4" Redhawk .44 Magnum for that matter either.

Six shot Six series .357 or five shot SP-101 .357 suits me just fine.

Give me an Alaskan with an 8 hole .357 cylinder and I'll buy one in a heartbeat.

I already have a .357 Redhawk, that was a must buy for me.

I'm also a .38 - .357 fanatic so I may be biased......
