This has probably been asked before, but I couldn't find it.
I picked up a 3 screw single six, that was sent back to Ruger for the update conversion. I have all the old original parts.
So my question is. Can it be converted back to original?
Thanks.

Yes, it's simple. The frame was not modified at all for the safety conversion. Do you have the original action parts?

Yes, I have all the original action parts.
Is this something I could do, or should it be done by a gunsmith?
Thanks.

Easy to do yourself! This will make it simple: Ruger doesn't have an OM single action 3 screw video so choose the video at this link for 'Revolver Tech Tips": http://www.ruger.com/videos.html?vid=13 ... at=3769277
and scroll down to "Tech Tips-Old Army Disassembly" and "Tech Tips-Old Army Reassembly" which has the same lock work.
